About the Laurel Lake
Laurel Lake is located in Fitzwilliam New Hampshire.
The species that inhabit the lake are: Rainbow Trout (Stoked), Brown Trout (Stocked), Large Mouth Bass, Small Mouth Bass, Yellow Perch, White Perch, and Horn Pout, but I have not caught any Horn Pout.
The average lake depth is 15 feet. The maximum depth is 45 feet. The boat ramp is located near the corner of East Lake Road and Howeville Road. The ramp is steep and there are a couple large boulders near the ramp. Parking is limited to 3-4 trucks with trailers. Rumor has it that the town plans on remodeling the ramp and parking area. The maximum speed for on the lake is 40 MPH. Mount Monadnock can be seen from the south end of the lake.
The lake has a couple types of weeds/grass growing in it. The bottom is sandy, gravel, muddy, and many large boulders throughout the lake. There is also a sunken island and a few deep pockets and some sharp drop offs.
There is a campsite on the lake it is located near the north end of the lake and can be accessed via East Lake Road. There is also a private beach for the camp site and residents. There is a public beach located near the boat ramp.
